Fur Camping

-well-run tourist business on the Limfjord lake Fur-veldrevet turistvirksomhed på Limfjordsøen Fur

We welcome you to the presentation of FUR Camping – an established and well-run tourist business with a campsite, CamperStop, B&B/rooms, cabins, glamping, kiosk and restaurant all on one property.

Betina and Brian have run and continuously developed the company for 17 years. They have now chosen to step down and are looking for a buyer who will continue the place and possibly exploit the many opportunities for further development.

The company’s strength is the combination of several different sources of income and guest types. This makes the operation less dependent on one single area and at the same time provides good opportunities for additional sales between accommodation, shop, restaurant and companies.

The operation is largely seasonal, which allows for an attractive combination of independent business during the season and a significantly quieter period outside the season.

Fur is a popular tourist destination in the middle of the Limfjord. In July 2026, Knudeklint on Fur, together with Hanklit on Mors, was included on the UNESCO World Heritage List as a natural world heritage, which is expected to further strengthen Fur as both a Danish and international tourist destination.

Fur Bryghus is located within walking distance of the campsite and hosts popular events and concerts all year round, which contributes to the demand for accommodation.

Access to Fur is by ferry with frequent departures and a crossing time of just a few minutes.

FUR Camping has built up a solid customer base over the years. Restaurant Raakilde is used by both camping guests, locals and companies, and campers have the opportunity to order food and have it delivered directly to their pitch.

The campsite is located in a scenic location with its own lake and Råkilde, which originates in the area. The beach is approx. 350 meters from the campsite via a path system.

The campsite

The campsite has 125 units on a total area of approx. 3.2 hectares.

There are, among other things:

  • 6 camping cabins
  • 3 Isabella glamping tents
  • 2 Camp-let caravans
  • 2 shelters
  • 8 double rooms
  • 3 family rooms with toilet

There are currently approx. 11 seasonal campers, and free Wi-Fi is available throughout the site.

In the front part of the site there is a separate CamperStop/motorhome area with its own driveway, self-check-in, solid ground and the possibility of connecting to electricity.

The total annual number of overnight stays is approx. 10,000, and the proportion of foreign guests is increasing.

Buildings and outdoor areas

By the parking area there is a 96 m² hall from 2016 with a roller door for storing materials, equipment and machinery. There are facilities for flushing chemical toilets and emptying and filling camper vans.

At the entrance there is a football pitch and a playground with a bouncy castle. There are 2 Clever charging stations with a total of 4 outlets.

In the centre of the site there is a 131 m² service building, modernised in 2013, with:

  • 6 family rooms
  • 2 extra large family rooms
  • 4 toilets
  • Camper kitchen
  • Living room with a view

The kitchen is equipped with ovens, refrigerators, hobs, microwaves and washing-up facilities.

Private residence

Above the shop and reception is a 94 m² private residence from 2010.

The residence contains a living room with kitchen, 2 bedrooms and a spacious bathroom.

From the large gable window there is a view of the campsite and the Limfjord.

Integrated operations center

At the entrance to the campsite, the kiosk, reception and restaurant are located together in the same building complex, which provides a practical and efficient daily operation.

The kiosk functions as an integrated part of the company and contributes to additional revenue through sales to camping guests, locals and other visitors to Fur.

The private apartment is located upstairs and thus centrally located in direct connection to both the reception, kiosk and restaurant. This gives the owner the opportunity to be close to the company’s most important functions and at the same time have the private residence combined with the operations. The integrated location makes the company manageable to run and at the same time creates natural additional sales between the reception, kiosk, restaurant and accommodation.

Restaurant Raakilde

Restaurant Raakilde has been modernized in recent years with acoustic panels and modern café equipment.

The restaurant has:

  • 32 seats indoors
  • Approx. 40 seats on the terrace
  • Party room for up to 50 guests
  • Fully equipped industrial kitchen
  • Ventilation system from 2024

In the basement there are also additional toilet facilities.

The restaurant functions both as an independent business area and as a natural supplement to camping, B&B, cabins and other types of accommodation.

Environment and energy

FUR Camping has achieved GreenStay and the EU Flower and has invested in energy and environmental improvements for several years.

Among other things, solar panels, heat pump systems and energy-optimized cooling and freezing rooms have been installed.

In addition, investments have been made in, among other things:

  • Robot lawn mowers and battery-powered equipment
  • Rainwater collection
  • LED lighting with sensors
  • Water-saving installations
  • Paper balers for recycling

The measures contribute both to the green profile and to more efficient daily operations.

Operations and personnel

The company is organized around a seasonal operation, where staffing is adjusted to the level of activity.

During the season, the owner’s efforts are supplemented with, among other things, young workers for the kitchen, shop and cleaning, as well as an employee of 7.4 hours per hour and a flexi-jobber of 15 hours per hour for the site’s green areas.

The operating form gives a future owner the opportunity to either continue the current seasonal model or develop the company towards a longer season and increased activity.

A comprehensive tourism business with development opportunities

FUR Camping should not be considered solely as a campsite with associated property.

The buyer takes over an established tourism business with multiple sources of income, existing clientele, private residence and real estate.

At the same time, there are good opportunities for further development.

The company has documented turnover and positive earnings.

Cash price: kr. 4.995.000

Requirements from financial institutions for a minimum of 25% equity are to be expected.
More detailed accounting material will be provided to serious buyers by agreement who can document the necessary equity.
